I became a lawyer because I’ve always been driven to advocate for others, especially during life’s most challenging moments. In family law, I’ve found a unique opportunity to do exactly that. My clients often come to me during periods of deep uncertainty — whether involving their children, financial stability, or major life transitions. I see my role as more than providing legal representation; it’s about walking alongside clients with care, clarity, and compassion. My goal is always to help clients feel supported and empowered, and to ensure they are in the strongest position possible long after our work together is complete.
I grew up in the St. Paul area as part of a large, close-knit family, which shaped my belief that strong support systems are essential to a fulfilling life. Although I left Minnesota to attend college in upstate New York, I ultimately returned because this is home — a place where community, connection, and family truly matter to me.
I earned my law degree from Mitchell Hamline School of Law and began my career as a judicial law clerk in Rice County. That experience gave me valuable insight into how courts operate behind the scenes and strengthened my ability to guide clients through the legal process with confidence. I went on to work as a legal aid attorney, where I represented many survivors of domestic violence and gained extensive experience in negotiation and settlement — approaches that often lead to the most stable, less emotionally draining outcomes. I also served as a criminal prosecutor, an experience that continues to benefit clients who may be navigating both family and criminal matters at the same time.
Community involvement is something I deeply value. I remain active in the bar association and local young-adult organizations, building connections that enrich both my personal and professional life. Outside of work, I draw inspiration from my years as a competitive figure skater — a sport that taught me discipline, resilience, and grace under pressure. It remains one of my greatest passions.
